This little video shows how easy it is to create a logo for men's ministry using the very inexpensive logo-creation software, LogoSmartz. After you watch this video, be sure to watch the video on how to use the logo created here to make a business or invitation card for men's ministry using it.

One little note: LogoSmartz has updated their software since I created this video, so the interface has a slightly different look. But it is still pretty much the same and all the things I demonstrate in this video you can still do.

Why ads don't workThis e-book position paper shows why newspaper ads, which have long been a core part of church advertising, are no longer effective in reaching an unchurched audience. Church hoppers look at them, but few seekers.

The PDF gives some suggestions on ways to improve your chances of creating effective ads as well as the alternatives that are far more effective: creating business and invitation cards and equipping your people to use them. PDF: Business cards, many ministry uses in a small package

This PDF shows business cards used in a number of ways, all of which are effective for outreach.

But example #1 on the page needs a little more explanation. It is a card that a church can give out to people after doing some sort of service project. For example in the winter, perhaps the youth group shoveled sidewalks or scraped windshields or the church gave folks hot chocolate at rest stops. Whatever the kindness, this is a great way to let people know the church did the action and to invite people to come visit the church.

Some folks might say that perhaps the church should simply do the act of kindness without saying who did it and if that is what the Lord tells you to do, by all means do that. However, if you don't let people know who you are and let them know that the church is there and wants to have a continuing relationship with them, you might be cutting off someone who has a real need and who might want to connect with the church. A third option might be to make up the cards and allow individuals to choose if they hand them out or not.

Celebrating youIt's easy to forget in the midst of lots of hard work and deadlines the real importance of your work, but what you are doing literally changes the eternal destinies of people. I created the little Postcard pictured here for you to either download (Click here to download the PDF) or as a jpg image (click here to download the jpg). Please print it out and put it somewhere you can see it and be reminded. You can also use either one to create encouragements to other Administrative Assistants or Church Communicators.

This was originally done for Administrative Assistants Day, but I'm keeping it on the site because we always need encouragement.

Today may be lots of hard work, but in your future you will "shine like the stars forever!"

And why? Because your work brought lots of people to heaven with you.
