7 November, 2016 By Yvon Prehn Leave a Comment

The video preview on this site shows a large  group of FREE Christmas PDF and Template that are ready for ECC Members to download, open and modify for your church. One of the most important benefits of ECC Membership is all this work is done for you and at very little cost.

On this site are articles for specific Christmas communications, with more commentary about each one, but here is a collection of all the types: invitation cards, motivation flyers, Christmas evangelism, connection cards, bulletin inserts, follow-up materials.

I'm working on some new designs for this year, but many of these from previous years are quite nice and even if you used one of them, there are lots of others if you want to get a start on your church communications. The best thing about them is they are all designs you can print IN YOUR CHURCH OFFICE and that you can MODIFY however you want.

The ZIP files contain ready to print PDFs, editable MS Publisher Templates, and hi-res images. There are over 40 pieces of all kinds of Christmas communications: Bulletin Inserts, evangelism letters and brochures, invitation and business cards, postcards in quarter and half-page size and program covers.

The various kinds of communications are in coordinating designs so that invitations have matching connection cards, etc.

Following is a preview video of the designs and below that, just click on an image to download the ZIP FILE. If you are not an ECC Member. For more information on becoming a member of Effective Church Communications, CLICK HERE.

Jesus, the Reason for the Season postcard, flyer, program cover or bulletin insert

5 November, 2016 By Yvon Prehn Leave a Comment

Jesus is the reason for the Season postcard
Our world needs to be reminded that Jesus truly is the "Reason for the Season." This publication can help you do that.

We know that Jesus is the reason we celebrate Christmas, we know Jesus is the reason for the season, but many of the people who visit your church or are in the neighborhood around it don't have any idea what that means. This communication piece will help.

Though it is done is a casual, upbeat style, the content is actually taken from the Nicene Creed, one of the most widely accepted creeds in the Christian Church and one that defines the identity and role of Jesus as our Savior. Below are pictures of the file. One is in color and one in grey scale. The grey scale looks good printed on some a rustic-looking or colored paper.

Christian Post interviews Yvon Prehn about How to get people to come back to church after Christmas and Easter

28 February, 2016 By Yvon Prehn Leave a Comment

How to get people back to church
Lots of people attend church for holiday events--here is advice to get them to come back on a continuing basis.

How to get the people who come to church on Christmas and Easter to return and to begin to attend on a regular basis is one of the biggest challenges for churches. The holidays offer great opportunities for people visit the church, but attending church twice a year seldom results in any significant spiritual decision or life-change.

For ideas on how to change that with suggestions from Ed Setzer of LifeWay and Yvon Prehn of Effective Church Communications, check out this article:

How to Keep the 'Chreasters' Coming: Experts Say Preparedness and Follow-Up Are Key

Incarnation-a continuing challenge and model for church communication at Christmas and always

21 December, 2015 By Yvon Prehn Leave a Comment

Jesus, God incarnate
In the Incarnation, Jesus, became flesh. In a similar way, if we do our job well, we can incarnate, make flesh the words of eternal life to our communities.

"The Word became Flesh and dwelt among us" (John 1:14).

The ethereal became earthly, the intangible became touchable when Jesus became flesh and blood. That's why we celebrate Christmas. In a similar way, your church communications help make the intangible realities of your church flesh and blood in the lives of the people in your church and those you want to reach. A grief recovery workshop helps no one until the materials announcing it are created and responded to. The greatest youth program involves no one until postcards and email tell the teenagers of the dates, times, and locations of meetings. The most inspiring conference helps no one if the church is empty because no one took time to promote it professionally and prayerfully.

To help our communications be effective in making the message of Christianity tangible and touchable in our world at Christmas and always, let's look at the Incarnation, at Jesus becoming flesh and blood, for inspiration on ways to lead and to make our communications real and response-producing in the lives of people we want to reach. Motivational flyer to encourage your congregation to invite people to Christmas events

5 December, 2015 By Yvon Prehn Leave a Comment

Bulletin Insert, Why invite to Christmas Events #4
Use this bulletin insert to encourage your congregation to invite friends and family to your Christmas events.

Why does your church do all the work you do for Christmas events, for the concerts, plays, family fun times?

The answer has two parts for most churches—the events are both for current members and for their unchurched friends, family, and those they work with and meet in the course of life. For your congregation, they often need a reminder that the events aren't just for their family, but that Christmas time is a great time to invite others.

This reminder is more important than a need to fill the church for all three Christmas Eve services. Jesus came to earth to provide salvation and many people outside the church today honestly don't know the reasons for his birth, life, death, and resurrection. Christmas is an appropriate time to invite share.

This bulletin handout will help you encourage your people to invite others to your Christmas services. CLICK HERE or on the image above to download a FREE PDF of the insert.

At the end of this article is a ZIP File for you to download that contains:

  • 3 more designs (see below for samples)
  • Ready-to-print PDFs of all 4 designs
  • Editable MS Publisher files of all 4 designs
  • Hi-res images of all
