Church Business/Invitation Cards to use anytime

11 May, 2018 By Yvon Prehn Leave a Comment

Invitation cards are an invaluable outreach ministry tool to help your people's invitations actually get people to church.
Invitation cards are an invaluable outreach ministry tool to help your people's invitations actually get people to church.

One of the most effective ways to ask people to come to church is to pair your verbal invitation with a printed invitation card. Since every member of the church is responsible to do their part to fully fulfill the Great Commission, be sure you always have cards like these available for your congregation.

Invitation cards are essential because we can't assume today, in our post-Christian world, that when you invite someone to church that they know anything about it, where it is, or when it meets. A person may respond very favorably to your invitation, but they may get up on Sunday morning and think: "Now where is that church? And what time does it start? Do they have a place for my kids?"

A printed invitation card can answer all those questions

It can also direct them to your online information (website and social media) that will make certain they actually connect with the church. Without this information, chances are the person will think something like: "I don't want to go at the wrong time and I can't even remember the location. . . . . I hope I run in to that nice person again."

Invitation cards are a tool that take hopeful invitations and wishful thinking to a tangible connection with your church. Below is a set you can download and change on the back with contact information for your church. The invitations are generic and can be used any time. The link to download them is at the end of the article. They are part of a ZIP file that has:

**Ready-to-print PDFs of all the cards
**Editable MS Publisher templates
**JPG images of the cards

FREE for everyone! An invitation to church with your Trick or Treat Candies

18 October, 2017 By Yvon Prehn Leave a Comment

Halloween Invite to Church p6
Put an invitation to church with your Halloween treats and see how the Lord might use it!

Hundreds of children will be coming to your doors this Halloween—why not take this opportunity to invite them to church? Below are some cards that can help you do this.

I'm making this file FREE for everyone because it's exciting to think about what might happen if many of you make up hundreds of these cards and give them to the children of all ages who come to your homes on Halloween.

Here is how it works:

  • Below the images is a ZIP file containing the cards.
  • It has PDFs of business-card size invitations back to church. They are fairly generic because I wanted you to not have to do anything, but print them off and on the back side you can create a personalized message for your church.
  • In addition to the PDFs, I also enclosed the editable MS Publisher file so if you want to change the wording or put info about your church on the front you can.

PLEASE share this with friends, other churches, people who go to your church. [Read more...]

Video and article: How to create full-color FREE church postcards, business cards and other publications with VistaPrint

28 July, 2011 By Yvon Prehn Leave a Comment

Please note: Videos are at the end of this article. This article is a few years old and the system has changed a little, and they may not have the free offer, but the material following should be useful.

Most of the printed publications we do in the church are done with either the copier or a digital duplicator. Sometimes we use color if we have a good color copier. These machines work for most of the products we create, but sometimes we long for full-color or glossy printing on our church business and invitation cards or church outreach postcards.

Many churches justify the cost of special projects for major holidays, but most wouldn't think of doing a full-color business or invitation card for a Sunday School class, children's or women's ministry event in the church because of the short run and the cost. But you might think about doing it--if the price was FREE. FREE or almost (there are a few little charges I explain later) is what is honestly available through Vista Print. Remember what follows is my experience and opinion, only, not anything from the company, but I trust will be useful to you. What prompted me to do this article and the associated videos is that I wanted to get some full-color, glossy business/invitation cards done for the Sunday School class my husband and I teach. There is no way I could go to my local printer and afford to get that done, but then I got one of the special discount emails from Vista Print. As I was putting together my order, I realized I could share it with all of you.

About Vista Print

Vista Print (www.vistaprint.com) is an online printing company. There are a number of them out there today and many churches use them successfully to create high quality print items at a low-cost. They are in NO WAY a substitute for your copier or digital duplicator, but when you want 100 business cards or a vinyl banner or a couple of full-color yard signs they are great.

Vista Print has been around a long time and they do a reliable job. I've used them for church and business jobs and have been happy with all the results.

You don't have to use Photoshop to get professional results!

Many of the online print companies (Vista Print does this also) recommend that you use Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator to create your products.  At  first look, it seems like if you don't use these products you won't get quality results. But that is not true! As the video below will show you can easily create a publication using MS Publisher that is extremely simple to load up and have created with Vista Print--and the results are great! [Read more...]
