Back-to-church invite cards for late summer events–Free Templates and PDFs

5 August, 2019 By Yvon Prehn Leave a Comment

Summer Back to Church Invitation Card
If you are holding a summer community outreach event, these cards are essential to bring visitors back to your church.

Many churches hold end-of-the-summer events. Ours ours does a Lemon Festival with a free community BBQ and a huge lemon dessert contest. We are a neighborhood church that was built in a former lemon grove and the festival is a fun and fitting way to invite the community to the church one more time.

If your church is doing something like that, make the most of the event by giving everyone an invitation card that invites them back to church. If you are truly reaching out to people who don't normally attend church, they have no idea what else you do or when you do it.

A card that gives details and links to your website and social media can make all the difference.

Below are some FREE templates for you to use to make business-card size back-to-church reminder cards and you can personalize them by putting your information on the back. The ZIP File for them has a ready-to-print PDF, plus editable MS Publisher files and image files in hi and low resolutions.

To download the ZIP file that contains the cards above, click this link: Back to church invite cards for summer events

Please take a few minutes to make up something like this for your end-of-summer events, it can make all the difference for a guest who needs to find the Lord.

Summer Recipe Card, a great way to connect with visitors and invite them back to church

4 July, 2018 By Yvon Prehn Leave a Comment

This is a wonderful summer recipe you can print up and give you to church guests. Put information on the back as a reminder of and invitation to your church.

Everybody loves recipes, especially if they are good ones! This one is fantastic! It is for a BBQ Beef Brisket that will literally melt in your mouth.

It comes from a wonderful Texas cook I knew in the past who has now gone home to be with the Lord. But before she left she passed on a number of incredible recipes.

You can print up this card as a gift to connect with visitors at who summer events at your church. On the back of it you can add church information, time, programs etc. and invite people back to visit you anytime.

You never know when someone might decide to come back to a church and if they have a yummy recipe card to remind them, food for the tummy may become food for the soul.

Summer ministry opportunities—ideas from many churches

23 July, 2017 By Gayle Hilligoss 4 Comments

Summer outreach
There are so many fun festivals your church can do to reach out to your community. Pick one from this article and do it!

Communicating with scores of ministry assistants throughout the country, I’ve learned many churches are using the exceptional evangelism and fellowship opportunities of the season to full advantage. Said one, “God’s work through our church does not take a sabbatical when it gets hot out.”

Some of their summertime activities:

  • Mega yard sale. All church members contribute; the community is invited; church music provided; free lemonade; brochures about church activities distributed; members mingle.
  • Day trips for parents and kids. Church bus used to take group to art museum, zoo, and other local attractions. On the ride: skits and sing-alongs.
  • A huge sprinkler party on church grounds each Saturday. Teens hand out flyers throughout the close neighborhoods—along with free snow cones—on the Wednesdays before.
  • Dads and kids cook out and camp out at a local park. Extra “Dads” are provided for kids whose parent is not available. Our church member Dads circulate and make sure everyone feels connected.
  • Outdoor tournaments. Softball, volleyball, horse-shoes, basketball, bocce—all can be organized as tournaments. Members serve as coaches, making sure everyone gets an opportunity to compete.
