Membership Info & Sign-up

Membership in Effective Church Communications is one of the best investments you can make for your church or organization, your personal growth in skills as a church communicator, and to gain practical, strategic wisdom if you are in a leadership role in church communications because:

  • Membership gives you 24/7 free access to all the training and articles, including ready-to-print seasonal publications, e-books, church communications strategy and skills training videos, the webinars on-demand, and all additional, church communication encouragement and resources on this website.
  • The ready-to-print PDF publications and editable templates alone will save you many hours of work—the artwork, layout, design and typesetting is done for you. You can use them as is or modify however you want.
  • The communication strategy, while cutting-edge, is respectful and appropriate for a church.

There is a monthly price $9.99 a month and a yearly price $99 (2 months free) for membership. All memberships are on an automatic recurring billing.

Individuals often sign up, but because it often takes more than an individual to create an effective church communications program, your membership is a CHURCH WIDE or ORGANIZATION membership. That means:

  • You can share the ONE Membership USERNAME and PASSWORD with your staff and volunteers who are associated with your church communications ministry.
  • You can also share one membership within an organization such as a church denomination or association office or a business that equips churches.
  • For the non-church membership, the membership is for ONE location—for example, each Baptist Association Office would need their own membership, but all the staff of that office can use the same membership.
  • If you are a business that equips churches, each location would need its own membership, but all the staff associated with it could use the same membership (remembering to use the same USERNAME and PASSWORD).

More about the training that you will receive as a member in Effective Church Communication.

All training is based on a biblical vision that will help you and your church fully fulfill the Great Commission. We seek to do everything we do on the site in a way that honors our Lord Jesus and his Word. This is far more than a how-to only site—it was created to encourage and inspire you as you create communications that grow churches and change the eternal destinies of people. We take our calling to equip and encourage you very seriously and are committed constantly reminding our members that we are in a battle for the eternal souls of people and it is our task to do the best we can to create communications that will help our churches do their tasks well.

All memberships are fully transferable, if for example, one person signs up for a yearly church membership (even if they downloaded a bunch of materials free or at the discount price) and they leave and someone else comes in to fill the job, the church retains the full membership rights. If it is an individual purchase, you can keep it no matter where you work or you can leave it at the church, your choice. You are on your honor to determine whether a church, business, or individual membership applies. Just keep in mind that the card that signed up for the initial membership is the one that will be charged to renew it, unless you contact yvon@effectivechurchcom.com and have that changed.

Access to all materials on the website, plus discounts to Effective Church Communication created materials. This includes:

**Free downloads of hundreds of articles, how-tos, examples on church communications from over 20 years of Yvon Prehn’s writing and teaching. Though a few articles are Free Content for visitors to get an idea of what is on the site, the vast majority of materials are for Members Only. More content is added constantly. We literally have rooms full of materials we are converting to digital format—members will get access to them first.

**Free viewing of the many training videos including all of the Webinars presented by Yvon Prehn. Most of the videos have PDFs of the PowerPoint handouts with the video file. In the past we allowed non-members to view the videos free for 48 hours, and still do at times, but primarily only a preview will be available to non-members. All webinar and video viewing on a 25/7 basis is for ECC Members only.

**Free downloads of ready-to-print PDFs of many different kinds of church communication materials including: SAMPLES of many church publications including bulletins, newsletters, children’s and volunteer materials, OUTREACH materials that are ready to print and send out, all beautifully designed and in full-color. All of these can be personalized for your church, association, or business, on the back or in any other way you want. You do not need additional permission or attribution to use them in any way you want.

**Free downloads of editable templates, MS Publisher files, e-books featured in the Free Members Downloads section. Each week new materials are added to this section. Some of them are also sold through our Downloads Storefront, but they are free to members.

**Free access to and downloads of Seasonal Material. For the major holidays (and as time goes on for minor ones) this includes ready-to-print invitations, bulletin inserts, postcards and follow-up materials. For Mother’s Day 2010 alone this consisted of 39 communication pieces. These are available in a ZIP file that contains ready to print PDFs, editable MS Publisher files, jpg or png images. Members can immediately print or modify these materials and they will save you tremendous amounts of time.

**Free downloads of publications, PDFs, book excerpts, and other materials posted in the Member’s Section for you. Every month there will be a number of these items that will be free for you. Many of the same items will be available for sale on the Downloads Storefront to non-members, but you get them free. ECC Members have permission to make copies of the free ebooks (and there is a great collection of them, CLICK HERE for a listing).

This is a great bonus because it means, instead of having to buy a number of copies of an e-book on church communications you would like to share with your staff or volunteers, you can make as many copies as you want with our permission. You can share the in either digital or printed format.

** 20% discount for all personal purchases made through the Download Storefront on this website. This includes all downloadable books, Great Idea Swap Collections, Downloadable Template Sets, and Training video Sets, everything that is on the Download Storefront site. You will receive the discount code when you sign up as a member. You simply enter it when you make a purchase and you will automatically receive the discount. Your discount code applies to everything in your shopping cart.

**Notification of new materials, as soon as they are ready.

Additional Membership Benefits

**Permission to use training videos from the web, PowerPoint Presentations, PowerPoint notes and podcasts for church staff, communication team, volunteer or customer training. This can include, but is not limited to: Associational, Synod, Diocese or similar denominational training, Ministry or Business Lunch and Learn training, Church Communicator’s Group Training. PLEASE NOTE: because of the nature of the membership safeguards, you must stream the videos from a live internet connection to use them directly from the web.

If you want to use them from a CD without an internet connection, we are are in the process of creating a number of CDs and DVDs that will enable you to do that. Be sure you read our weekly newsletter for update information on this.

** You may also charge a nominal fee for this training (if you offer it at a Lunch and Learn or similar event) and that fee is yours to keep. This is in recognition that it costs to put on training.

**Ability to purchase a block of memberships to give or to resell memberships to your group. Contact yvon@effectivechurchcom.com for details. We can also provide discount coupons for a conference or seminar on church communications.

**Access to volume discounts of Yvon Prehn printed books and CDs. If you wish to have a resource table for church communication books and CDs, you can purchase them at wholesale price, sell them, and keep the profits for your group. For an additional fee, the materials can be imprinted or have the cover or interior introductory pages personalized for your organization. note: this is from the User Agreement, be sure you read it all as signing up means you agree with it.

**We want you to be happy with your membership. You will receive a full refund of your membership fee if you contact me (yvon@effectivechurchcom.com) within 7 days of signing up if you are not happy with your membership (but I do so pray you will be!).

**Since memberships are on an automatic, recurring billing, either monthly or yearly, please let me know within a week prior to your next due date if you want to cancel your membership, if you want me to cancel it for you or if you are going to cancel or not renew. It will cancel automatically if you refuse it or change your credit card.

**If we don’t hear from you and you wish to cancel after a recurring billing has been billed and collected, there are no refunds for the current billing, but the recurring billing will be stopped.

**All memberships are fully transferable. If, for example, one person signs up for a yearly church membership (even if they downloaded a bunch of materials at the discount price) and they leave and someone else comes in to fill the job, the person in the job retains the full membership rights, if it was a church purchase. If it is an individual purchase, you can keep it no matter where you work.
